Admissions Procedure

Eligibility for Admission to the Undergraduate courses

  • All students having 10+2 at school are eligible for admission into UG courses.
  • Admission and allocation of subjects will be made on the basis of merit, taking into consideration the marks obtained by the candidate in the last eligibility examination and a personal interview. The college would abide by the rules and norms of the Government, University and Archdiocese of Bhopal being a minority college.
  • All applicants for Honours courses must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their 10+2 exams.
  • The Age limit of male candidates should not be more than 23 years as on 1 July 2017.
  • There is no upper age limit for women candidates.
  • Age limit for male candidates of reserved categories is 25 years as on 1 July 2017, unless revised by the MP Government.
  • Students seeking admission to subject/ faculty/ group other than the subjects of their eligibility examination can get admission only after deduction of 5% of marks obtained in the eligibility examination.

Reserved Categories

  • Reservation policy of the Government of M.P. will be followed. Seats are reserved for various categories that are specified in the University guidelines.
  • Besides SC, ST and OBC, Reserved category will also include sports quota and Catholic / Christian applicants.
  • If candidates of reserved category are not available till the last date of admission then the reserved seats will be made available to the candidates of the general category.
  • Catholic students must furnish a certificate from the Parish priest.
  • Admissions are open for Semester I of all UG & PG Courses.

How to Apply

The step by step procedure for online registration and subsequent admission will be displayed on the website in mid-May 2017 after which it will become functional. The closing date is generally at the end of the third week of June. Meanwhile, for any admission related queries, please write to: ; Contact No. (0755) 2457283.

As per UGC (University Grants Commission) norms, an applicant must fill an Anti-Ragging Undertaking Form before filling the online admission registration form. BSSS strictly complies with the laws framed by UGC. An applicant must fill their undertaking on any of the two websites Aman Movement or UGC Anti Ragging. The Applicant must then submit a hardcopy of the Undertaking form while submitting the online admission registration form.

Admission to Degree courses is merit based, except in the case of Reserved Categories. However, all applicants for UG Courses are required to appear for an admission interview with their Parent/Guardian. The purpose of the interview is:

  • Document verification.
  • Familiarisation with college philosophy and core values.
  • Counselling regarding choice of courses, subjects, options or specialisations that may be necessary in case of confusion or indecision in the mind of the applicant.

Note: This is in addition to the counselling already offered by the Admission Help Desk especially constituted for the purpose of queries, guidance and counselling for choice of courses.

Many of the courses have limited number of seats hence students are advised to confirm their admissions as early as possible.

Candidates who have been offered admission and do not register on or before the last date of fee payment will not be eligible for admission at a later date.

All students registered for UG Degree programs will be required to opt for one Certificate program of their choice in Semester I and one Certificate program in Semester III.

The Principal reserves the right to cancel any admission in case of deliberate attempt by the candidate to withhold information and his/her involvement in any misdeed.

Documents to be uploaded with the form

  1. A photocopy of the mark sheet of Class X and Class XII.
  2. Sports quota candidates should have played at the state or national levels and their documents must be countersigned by the Director, MP Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
  3. Candidates seeking admission in reserved categories must attach photocopies of relevant documents.

Documents needed during Payment of Fees

  1. Original Transfer Certificate
  2. Character Certificate

Modes of Fee Payment

Students of all semesters will be required to pay the college fees twice a year. The first instalment of fees will be paid in June/ July and the second in November. The dates for the June/ July payment will be as per the admission schedule printed in the prospectus. The dates for November will be put up on the notice board.

Note: No student of any semester will be allowed to attend classes without payment of fees.

The college fee will be revised annually from 5-10% as per the approval of the Governing Body.
The selected candidates will be provided with ID & password through SMS by which the student can deposit the fees by either of these two modes of payment:


To deposit the fees online, the student needs to access the college website ( and make the payment using our Students Login by logging with the ID & Password provided by SMS. The student can pay the fees using the following options.

  • Net Banking (Bank Charges Extra)
  • Debit Card (Bank Charges Extra)
  • Credit Card (Bank Charges Extra)


The student can pay the fees in cash only after getting their ID & password by SMS. Federal Bank has facilitated a special counter to collect the fees by cash at the following branches:

Documents Required for Registration and Enrollment

  • Photocopy of XII Class mark sheet
  • An Eligibility Certificate from the Barkatullah University, if the applicant is from a state other than Madhya Pradesh
  • Migration Certificate - original - for CBSE and out of state students

The date will be notified by the college.


  • Students admitted from ICS/ Any other board or University would have to produce and Eligibility Certificate from Barkatullah University within a month.
  • Students must bring their original mark sheets and all other relevant documents for verification at the time of their scheduled interviews.
  • Students will be required to register for every semester by filling up the Registration Form available at the office.
