At a meeting held on Saturday 26 April 2008, Mr Saghar Chughtai took over as the new President of the Association. Mr Aruneshwar Singh Deo, while officially handing over the responsibility of running the association, assured that he would be around and continue to play a proactive role in the activities of the association.

The members also discussed the activities and programmes for the coming academic year and took the following decisions:

(i)to be present on the Orientation Day to welcome the new batch of students for the year 2008 – 2009 and to acquaint them with the objectives and functioning of the Alumni Association

(b)to organize an inter school Patriotic Singing competition for High School students, around 15 August 2008. This would also help to showcase the college to school children on the threshold of college life

(c)to arrange for interactive sessions on specialized areas from amongst our vast number of successful and well placed alumni members. It was decided that the college will send a list of possible topics and then the executive members would try and arrange speakers/experts on those topics

(d)to organize one mega event sometime in December / January – several options were discussed including a music show, a fete, inviting a celebrity – Sagar would explore possibility of inviting Mr Javed Akhtar and Ms Shabana Azmi.

The meeting concluded on an optimistic note with a resolve to enhance the role of the alumni in the coming year.
