BSSS Celebrate International Women's Day 2023

In order to raise an awareness about the status and dignity of women among students, an International Women’s day celebration was organized by the Women’s cell of BSSS, Bhopal on 10th March 2022. Embracing the grandeur of International Women’s Day 2023 with leading and empowering women from India , BSSS welcomed the Chief Guest , Mrs. Rajpal Kaur, Additional Director, Women and Child Development, Bhopal as well as Mrs. Nurunissah Khan, Principal Counselor, Family Court, Bhopal. The esteemed guests were offered a floral welcome and the program commenced with the lighting of the lamp. Principal, Dr. Fr. John P.J congratulated the female teaching and non-teaching staff on this occasion. Mrs. Manju Mehta, Program , Incharge, emphasized on the global theme for 2023 #Embrace Equity, which is a part of an ongoing effort to raise awareness around “Why equal opportunities are no longer enough.” In her address, Ms. Rajpal Kaur, deliberated on the role of woman in family and society. She said that women’s day is to celebrate the achievements of women in various fields and also to express our respect, appreciation & love towards the most powerful gender. Focusing on this, shefurther added that women should not compare themselves with men for equality and strive towards their self-development. She added that women play a dominant role in the society and also illustrated the historic achievements of brave women in our country.Nurunissah Khan ,enlightened the audience about being considerate towards fellow women. She added that the goal behind Women's Day is to spread the message of gender equality, celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in different spheres, and work towards building a society free of all gender biases, stereotypes, gender parity and discrimination.The event concluded with the felicitation of the honourable guests .The program was enthusiastically hosted by members of Women Cell. The event was attended by all the faculty and students of the college. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Jyoti Mathur, Incharge-Women’s Cell.
