IGNIS’ ROCKED THE SHOW WITH ‘OPEN LETTERS’

IGNIS, the BSSS, Literary Society organized a heartwarming event, where students and faculty came together to express their love and appreciation through handwritten letters.

The event, aptly titled “Open Letters”, transformed the campus into a hub of warmth and affection.The event was a resounding success, with attendees reveling in the opportunity to spread love and positivity. Laughter and camaraderie filled the air as heartfelt sentiments were penned onto paper. It showcased inspiring performances that addressed various difficult and emotionally provoking themes, including but not limited to martyrdom, friendship, nostalgia, love, and heartbreak.

“So many of us see you, love you, have not forgotten you, and are praying for you,” said Laiba Yousuf in her letter to the children of Palestine, while Keren Ashna Earnest shared her letter to a river from the past, the Byarma in Damoh district. Sharon Pant shared a love letter to love letters, and Srasti Saxena wrote a letter to life. Some students, like Arshad Ali, wrote a letter to themselves, while some others dedicated theirs to their parents and friends.

The event was marked by a spirit of fun and celebration which was exuberantly hosted by Ms. Kashish Ramnani, and Ms. Apeksha Dubey under the guidance of Dr. Sana Farooqui, In-charge Club IGNIS.

Every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure a memorable experience for all wherein the President IGNIS, Yashika Agrawal expressed that “We wanted to create a space where people could express their feelings freely and fearlessly,”. Seeing the emotions and enthusiasm on everyone’s faces as they shared their letters was truly heartwarming for the audience.

IGNIS organizes a variety of such programs every month for college and out-of-college literature lovers and welcomes all the new and emerging talents in Bhopal.
