Deeksharambh: Orientation of new session held in BSSS

The orientation ceremony for newly admitted students of the 2025-26 academic session was organized at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS). Students attended the event with their parents, where they were formally welcomed and introduced to the academic and co-curricular environment of the college. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Dean Academics, Father Jomi Penithas, congratulated the students and encouraged them to pursue excellence with vision and purpose. Dr. Sheeba Joseph elaborated on the academic structure, including credit points, major-minor options, and certificate courses. Jennifer Fernandes explained the examination system, while Dr. Binoy Erical introduced the col- lege's code of conduct and assured students of a safe, supportive environment.
Software expert Rohit Yadav provided a detailed overview of the college's Management Information System (MIS). Dr. Sheena Thomas highlighted various student clubs and support cells that enrich campus life.
Principal Dr. Father John PJ con- gratulated the students and parents, assuring them of complete support in helping students achieve their dreams. He interacted with parents in an open forum, addressing their queries and encouraging regular communication with the college.
Professor Rasmeet Malhi, coordinator of the initiation ceremony, extended her heartfelt thanks to all attendees. Department-wise orientation and MIS sessions will be held on July 28, followed by a diagnostic test on July 29. Regular classes and certificate course orientations will also commence from July 29.
