The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) organized an impactful orientation program on the theme "Drug-Free Youth and a Strong India." The event aimed to introduce newly admitted students to the vision, mission, and activities of NSS. Over 532 enthusiastic students participated in the program.
The event commenced with the traditional lighting of lamps, followed by a graceful semi-classical welcome dance and an energetic rendition of the NSS Lakshya song.
College Principal Dr. Father John PJ welcomed the students, emphasizing values such as discipline, service, and social responsibility, and encouraging volunteers to serve society wholeheartedly.
Dr. Dharmendra Bahadur Singh, NSS Program Officer, highlighted the theme through a captivating dance performance based on the central message. The program featured motivational speeches by distinguished guests, including Dr. Ashok Kumar Shroti, Dr. AK Saxena, Dr. Rajkumar Verma, and Mr. Rahul Singh Parihar.
A documentary showcased the NSS's achievements for 2024-25, while "Incredible India"-a folk dance fusion celebrated unity in diversity. NSS awardee Sumit Dubey was also honored during the event. The program concluded with the patriotic dance "Mission Sindoor," saluting the daughters of India.
The event left a lasting impact, inspiring students to embrace the NSS motto, "You Before Yourself."
