On the completion of 50 successful years of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences, the management organised a special mass in the auditorium of the college. Dr Durairaj, Archbishop Bhopal, Priests, Fathers, Sisters and BSSS family of Bhopal Archdiocese attended the congregation.
On this occasion, a special tribute was paid to eminent visionary Dr Eugene D'Souz, former Archbishop of Bhopal, whose positive thinking and phenomenal efforts led to the establishment of the BSSS in 1972.
In its journey of 50 years, BSSS College has seen many ups and downs, and today, with the experiences of its golden past, it has been able to scale glorious heights of academic excellence.
An array of cultural programs were also organized on this special occasion. The audience enjoyed and appreciated a spectacular performance of Kathak and a short film Reminiscence, depicting the bond between students and their alma mater. The singers of BSSS Rhythm enthralled the audience with their melodious presentations. A documentary, reflecting the five decades' journey of the BSSS and highlighting its extraordinary academic achievements was also shown.
Archbishop Bhopal, Dr Durairaj, while congratulating the achievements of BSSS, appreciated the vision of the Principal, Dr Fr. John P.J. He said that without compromising the quality, the institute has successfully given global level education to lakhs of students.
Principal Dr Fr. John PJ, while thanking Bhopal Archdiocese and the BSSS family, especially remembered former Archbishop Dr Eugene D'Souza and called him a strong pillar of the world of education. Father John also expressed his gratitude to all the members of the BSSS family. The programme ended with a banquet.
