Police Student Internship Program MOU sign with Police Department.

The Bhopal School of Social Sciences signed a MOU with Police Department, Madhya Pradesh on 10th May, 2022. The MOU signed between the two entities mutually agreed on Student Internship Programme in various domains. On the same day, an orientation for the students of BSSS was organized in the college campus. The session was hosted by Mr. Siddharth Jain, Final Year Student, Department of Psychology, BSSS. The coordinator of the programme Madam Manju Mehta, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities welcomed all the guests of the session. Mr Vineet Kapoor, DCP Head Quarters, Mr. Amit Mishra, ACP Misrod, Mr. Ajay Mishra, ACP Head Quarters, and other officials from the Police Department graced the event with their presence. Mr Kapoor oriented the students about the internship. He emphasized on Police Department being a welfare department and promoted the idea of youth participation in various projects. Mr Kapoor was of the opinion that this internship will help to orient the students opting for a range of projects about the existing laws and rights in practice. He further shared the idea of involving social policing, youth led community policing and an empathetic approach in the practice domain of public administration. The orientation session helped the students to understand the range of projects facilitated by the Police department for their enriched learning and professional growth. Mr Kapoor further emphasized on the scopes of research and publication which would be a collaborative effort of the faculty members associated with this. Students were also oriented about the proposed dates of the internship which would preferably commence on 18th of the month. Dr. Fr. John PJ, Principal, BSSS expressed his heartfelt gratitude and sincere regards to Police Department for the association. He took the opportunity to place on record his confidence he has on the students of BSSS for them being instrumental throughout the tenure and them having a positive career ahead. He also expressed his hopefulness of this internship being a major element in career growth of the students. The guests were then thanked by Anurupa Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work for the cooperation extended to make this session a grand success. Overall, the session was a successful one helping the students be clear and confident about the opportunity to work on.
