BSSS participates in wildlife week

Alone we can do so little; Together we can do so much...
The weeklong celebration of State Wildlife Week 2022 at the Van Vihar national park is an opportunity for students to learn about and protect our planet’s wildlife.
As a part of this program, students of the social outreach club from the management department of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) under the able guidance of the teacher in charge Dr Rasmeet Kaur Malhi and teacher co-ordinator Namrata Kishnani conducted one week of wildlife celebration from 1st -7th October wherein, students along with the Social outreach coordinator Shiza Masroor and Junior coordinator Aman Raikwar went there as volunteers to provide their assistance on 1st, 3rd and 7th October respectively.
Wildlife Week is an initiative that aims to promote awareness about nature and knowledge about all wildlife forms, through various events and activities. These include bird watching, painting, photography and many more.
The week was inaugurated by the Chairman of Van Vihar Group who joyously celebrated the welcome of the cheetahs at Kuno National Park, MP.

Collaborated effort of various officials and volunteers of van vihar working in various teams as informed by Sunil Kumar Sinha asst director.

Students from different Schools participated in a number of competitions and events at Van Vihar, conducted by the forest department, including debate, rangoli making, fancy dress, mehndi competition and face painting conducted in regards of wildlife.
The student volunteers helped the staff at the event by guiding the participants and parents present there in solving their queries and the registration process of their children for the various competitions that were being held throughout the week. Students also assisted in other various tasks leading to a smooth running of the events, which were later deeply appreciated by the department
The week was concluded with a pledge taken by the chief guest and all the students present there who vowed to protect and honor the Cheetah, after that a prize distribution ceremony was conducted wherein, the winners of the several competitions held throughout the week were awarded.
Dr Alpa Ghosh HOD of the management department acknowledged the efforts of social outreach volunteers for their hard work and dedication towards the community and co-operating in the fulfillment of social responsibilities.
