Education Department Celebrated International Literacy Day 2026

Street Play Staged on the Topic of Digital Literacy and Mental Health!

Under the Department of Education at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences, The Edu Club celebrated International Literacy Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students. As part of this initiative, students visited the Government High School, Habibganj. There, they conducted several meaningful and interactive activities with the school children aimed at promoting literacy, digital awareness, and mental health.

A Nukkad Natak on the theme of digital literacy and mental health was presented. Through an engaging and thought-provoking performance, students highlighted responsible digital habits, awareness of digital resources, and the importance of maintaining mental well-being in today's tech-driven world. B.Ed. students also organized an interesting game-based activity centered on the theme "Hum Sab Sakshar Hain". School children were encouraged to participate actively while learning about the significance of literacy in daily life.

As part of the session, school children were shown portraits of famous educators and poets and were encouraged to identify them. A thrilling spelling bee competition was also conducted to enhance the vocabulary, spelling skills, and confidence of the participants. Winners of various activities were honored with attractive gifts, further boosting the students' enthusiasm.

This event provided B.Ed. students with a meaningful platform to bridge classroom learning with community engagement. Additionally, it demonstrated the Education Department's commitment to fostering literacy, digital awareness, holistic well-being, and experiential learning.
