The Student Orientation and Welfare Committee of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Management Department, organized a session titled "Nourish to Flourish" (Better Life Through Nutrition). The objective of the program was to raise awareness among students about the importance of balanced nutrition and its impact on physical and mental health.
Expert guest speaker Nutrition & Dietetics Consultant Dr. Amita Singh shared key insights on healthy eating habits, the role of nutrition in maintaining physical health, and the deep connection between diet and mental well-being. She shared practical ways to maintain balance in diets while making meals delicious, enjoyable, and appealing. She emphasized that healthy food does not need to be bland or restrictive, demonstrating how thoughtful choices and simple adjustments can turn daily meals into nutritious and tasty options. The session gave students an opportunity to understand how proper nutrition contributes to better health, energy, concentration, and overall quality of life.
Students actively participated in the session and asked various questions related to diet and nutrition, which Dr. Singh answered with practical and informative suggestions.
The session was organized by Dr. Darshan Subharwal and Dr. Namrata Kishnani of the Management Department. Committee In-Charge Dr. Jyoti Mathur and Head of the Management Department Prof. Smita Pillai provided guidance for the successful organization of the program.
