National Pledge Ceremony for a 'Drug Free Youth, Developed India' Held at BSSS

On September 18, 2026, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) organized a drug-abuse awareness campaign under the theme "Drug-Free Youth for a Developed India." The campaign aimed to raise awareness among the youth about the adverse effects of substance abuse and to inspire them to build a drug-free society. The event commenced with the administration of a pledge for a drug-free youth; Program Officer Dr. Dharmendra Bahadur Singh led the oath-taking, wherein volunteers pledged to abstain from substance abuse and to raise awareness among others about the issue. Subsequently, the volunteers effectively highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse through a street play and conveyed a message encouraging the youth to adopt a healthy and positive lifestyle. A signature campaign was also conducted during the event, allowing participants to express their commitment to a drug-free society. Eighty volunteers actively participated in this awareness campaign, striving to spread the message of a drug-free India to the masses.
